We have a 24hour cancellation policy and the reservation is 100% non-refundable within 24 hours of trip departure. We can reschedule your reservation for a future date with a rescheduling charge of $25 + tax per person, providing there is availability. For our night trips – you must cancel by 12:00 noon of the day before your trip date for a full refund.
  • CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER OR WATER CONDITIONS?
If the provider cancels a tour due to weather or water conditions, you will not be charged. You will have the option to reschedule for the next available spaces. The captains will make the final decision as to weather conditions. Remember a few passing rain showers are normal in the tropics and rain is more likely in the center of the island, and to the west. We watch the weather stations carefully, and the conditions on the east coast – Fajardo area may not be the same as where you are. Please don’t make the mistake of deciding not to come if it’s raining where you are, as you will be charged if the trip goes out. If you have any questions about the weather conditions, please call us to be sure.
  • IS THERE A MAXIMUM WEIGHT TO PARTICIPATE?
We don’t have a weight limit but you do need to be physically able to climb up and down the swim stairs or ladders to access the water as needed.
  • ACTIVITIES / WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES WILL I ENJOY?
Answer: Our guests get to enjoy breathtakingly beautiful views of the mainland, El Yunque mountains, and the surrounding islands, as well as beautiful white sand beaches on both our Icacos and Culebra trips. They also get to snorkel protected coral reefs and see a multitude of different Caribbean fish species.
  • DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM TO SNORKEL?
Answer: You need to know basic swimming skills, know how to float and as long as you don’t fear the water, you’ll have fun! We do have floating devices available for all guests and underwater windows (on the East Wind) for those who chose not to snorkel.
  • HOW DO I SNORKEL IF I USE EYE GLASSES?
Answer: A prescription mask can be provided but please keep in mind due to enormous range of prescriptions we only offer minus 3 and minus 4 prescriptions. Contact lenses can be worn under mask only if you feel comfortable doing so (but at your own risk). For lighter prescriptions, the mask itself and the water provide quite a bit of magnification.
  • HOW FAR AWAY IS THE MARINA FROM SAN JUAN, RIO GRANDE OR HUMACAO?"
Answer: Estimated time is 1 hour and 15 minutes from old San Juan or Condado area, perhaps a bit less for Isla Verde. Allow 30 minutes from Rio Mar, 35 minutes from Humacao, and about 45 from the Gran Melia resort.

  • ARE TRIPS PHYSICALLY DEMANDING?
Answer: Generally they are not, however guests should know how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Some guests who are non-swimmers might opt to stay onboard the boat and watch the fish through our underwater windows. Upon making a reservation, you must inform the crew if anybody in your group has any back or heart problems or is pregnant, as the power boat trips can be bumpy as we ride over the open water.
  • TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN / DO WE HAVE FAMILY TRIPS?
Answer: Yes, children are welcome aboard our trips! (However, we do not recommend the Culebra trip or Vieques trip for children under three). Any of the trips to Icacos are well-suited for children of all ages! Your kids will especially love the water-slide and the underwater windows on our sailing catamaran East Wind. For the adventurous little tines – there is kids snorkeling gear, and the crew can give instructions in the shallow waters at the beach.

  • HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON MY TRIP?
Answer: This will depend on which catamaran you will be on. Weekends tend to find the boats more full than weekdays, and slow season also tends to find the boats less full. But the numbers can vary. For smaller capacity the Zatara sailing catamaran or the Eco Isleño power catamarans are available.
  • ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS ON YOUR TRIPS?
Answer: We do not allow children under the age of three on the Culebra or Vieques trips, and as well but welcome all ages aboard our trip to Icacos!

  • CAN I BRING MY OWN SNORKEL GEAR?
Answer: You are welcome to bring your own gear. Many people are used to their own mask and snorkel, (but there is not a discount for that).
